Japan Expo: a new logo and new guest countries like Africa

2022 is the year of the great return of Japan Expo to the Villepinte Exhibition Center, we have known this for several months now. If the organizers gave a reminder shot a few weeks ago, specifying that the event will not be held at the beginning of July as we used to, but from July 14 to 17 inclusive. A change of date which could have an impact on attendance, since the Juilletists may have already left to bask in the sun. While waiting to find out if the show will break the visitor record this year, the organizers have just revealed the new logo of the show, more modern, to mark the renewal and the new era. A logo accompanied by a phoenix as a totem to mark the rebirth and the desire to bring together all lovers of Japanese culture and geek culture.

JapanExpo

We have chosen this new logo to accompany Japan Expo for the years to come. We have selected 3 symbolic elements of Japan, the Earth of the mountain, the Water of the ocean and the Fire of the sun. The mountain represents Mount Fuji, the ocean is omnipresent and restores the Earth to its island condition, and the sun disk, the Hi no Maru, which rises, which are all symbols that make Japan in all its aspects. We have kept Japan Expo and its font, to mark continuity in novelty.

The organizers take the opportunity to present “Amazing”, a new brand that is part of the show, in order to welcome new countries and continents, such as South Korea, Africa and the United States. Amazing is therefore there to offer entertainment and other commercial stands different from what Japan already offers us. Fans of k-pop, Marvel or even Harry Potter will have access to dedicated spaces, whether it’s cinema, series, video games, books, cross-media, or even virtual reality, in short, all areas are now concerned and interconnected. Beware of off-topics though…
