Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron has revealed an approximate running time for his forthcoming blockbuster, Avatar: Flame and Ash.
According to Cameron, the film will run for about three hours.
“Surprising, isn’t it?” the director joked in an interview with Variety.
The original Avatar ran two hours and 42 minutes, while the sequel The Way of Water clocked in at three hours and 12 minutes.
The new installment will see the return of Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña and Sigourney Weaver. The story follows Jake Sully and his Na’vi family as they confront the militant Ash people dwelling on Pandora. The release is scheduled for December 19.
