J Balvin is officially a dad! The Colombian superstar welcomed his first child with girlfriend Valentina Ferrer earlier this week. The new mother took to social media to share a sweet photo of one of the baby’s foot with the heartwarming caption: “4 days of the best Love.”
Balvin had hinted at the birth of his baby after tweeting, “Querido Rio” on Sunday, June 27. The couple previously told other media outlets that they planned to name their newborn Rio, but news of the little one’s birth hadn’t been confirmed until now with Ferrer’s announcement.
The couple revealed they were expecting their first child back in April when the Argentine model showed off her baby bump while gracing the cover of Vogue México. “The family is growing,” she also posted on her social media accounts.
The chart-topping artist met Ferrer on the set of his 2017 music video “Sigo Extrañándote,” in which she plays Balvin’s wife. A year later, they made their debut as a couple at New York Fashion Week.
