Insider leaks details about potential L.A. Noire sequel following GTA VI

Rockstar Games is reportedly working on a new installment in the L.A. Noire series, which could take players to San Francisco and launch around 2030 following the release of GTA VI.

According to unconfirmed information from the GTAForums message board, the studio is developing a continuation of the crime series. The information comes from an insider who shared details about GTA VI back in 2023, including initial plans featuring four main characters, and some of those reports were later confirmed.

Based on the rumor, the new L.A. Noire will be set in San Francisco. One of the central storylines will reportedly involve the Zodiac Killer, whose identity has been the subject of speculation for decades.

Rockstar will allegedly place a special focus on technology, intending to significantly improve facial scanning and character animation. This aligns with the concept of L.A. Noire, where character facial expressions and reactions played a vital role during interrogations.

If the information is accurate, players will have a long wait ahead before release. The project is reportedly targeted for around 2030.
