HYPERWIRED launched on July 2, 2026 for Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The 2D action roguelike comes from independent developer SIDRALGAMES, with Selecta Play and Entalto Publishing handling publishing.

The game is priced at 7.99 USD, with a 10 percent launch discount during the first week on most platforms. A free demo is also available on Steam for players who want to test the core combat loop before buying.

Combat built around a cable

HYPERWIRED changes the usual top-down shooter rhythm with a tethered power system. Ships must plug into sockets to recharge weapons and systems. While connected, they get stronger firepower, but movement is limited by cable length.

That mechanic turns each fight into a choice between staying powered and staying mobile. Players move through procedurally generated sectors, use a rechargeable slow-motion system and fight enemy swarms while managing their ship position.

Ships, upgrades and boss fights

The roguelike loop includes more than 250 bullet modifier combinations, over 40 upgrades and more than 10 ships. Players can also rescue stranded pilots and build a small supporting force for later fights.

Each galaxy ends with large boss encounters. The game mixes pixel art, destructible stages, temporary upgrade chips and ship builds shaped by batteries, cable length, firepower and survival tools.

SIDRALGAMES is based in Zaragoza and built HYPERWIRED in GameMaker, keeping the project close to retro arcade shooters while giving the power cable a central tactical role.
