Hyper Scape: Ubisoft's Battle Royale goes cross-play and dresses up for Christmas

Launched this summer with almost general indifference, Hyper Scape had important ambitions nonetheless. Developed by a Ubisoft wishing to grab the market share of a certain Fortnite, the title will unfortunately not have really thrilled the crowds. At least even two months after its release, when Season 2 launched, audiences on Twitch were plummeting, with less than 1,000 viewers. Despite this failure, the French publisher does not give up and continues to enrich the content of its game. We learn thus, via an official Reddit post, that the game will be in Christmas colors since the entire map will be covered with snow. A limited event from December 15 to 29, 2020, knowing that we will also find cosmetic bonuses to be perfectly in the atmosphere of the end of the year holidays.

But the most important info of this patch notes, it is above all the deployment in cross-play mode which will allow all the players of each community to be able to compete together. For the moment, only console players (PS4 and Xbox One) are affected, while PC users will have to wait a little longer before they can join the party. Ubisoft specifies, however, that PC players will be able to play with their friends on console thanks to an invitation system. That said, your entire team will then be pitted against PC players.
