It’s generally accepted that Devil Daggers is the best-looking and best-sounding video game and I can’t say I disagree, although I do perceive why the opposite fashionable selection is Hylics. Watching a brand new trailer for Mason Lindroth’s sequel to his psychedelic claymation RPG, I believe there’s an opportunity I is perhaps swayed. God, the airship journey sequences alone… ah, you’ll see. Hylics 2 continues to discover a world constructed from scanned clay fashions, battling baddies and usually muttering “Coo, this is flipping gorgeous” because the weirdos wander and our leather-clad arms waggle within the first-person spellcasting animations and the warbling guitar and I’m dropping correct phrases as a result of there’s a lot that’s so good. WATCH.
God! It’s uncommon for a game to look and sound so absolutely itself. Stunning.
