Hunter Hayes Turns His Shame Into Humor in New 'One Shot' Video: Premiere

Anybody who has spent an evening out at a bar is aware of how shortly one drink can flip into one too many, and that is precisely what Hunter Hayes sings about on his latest single “One Shot.” As he declares on the refrain of the rowdy celebration anthem, “I began with one shot/ To have a very good time/ Everybody is aware of how straightforward one can flip into 5.”

So what different approach is there to depict such a ingesting music than by exhibiting all of the shenanigans a drunken evening can entail? We’re speaking lacking tooth, embarrassing pictures, even a llama within the kitchen — and yep, that is all in Hayes’ video for the (actually) spirited observe.

“I actually needed the video to painting the humor in wanting again at a few of my most embarrassing moments and highlighting the truth that it’s actually okay to not take your self so significantly,” Hayes says. “So many hidden Easter eggs in each body of this have their very own lengthy story, so I’m happy with taking my disgrace and turning into one thing hopefully everyone can get a kick out of.”

The animated clip is as enjoyable because the music, which was impressed by real-life wild nights Hayes has skilled — and the hangovers he is endured because of this. He calls it “a primary for me on so many ranges,” because the “Wanted” singer is not usually the man to sing about his ingesting escapades. (But those that are followers of Hayes’ extra earnest tunes needn’t fear, as “One Shot” follows the discharge of the emotional and introspective ballad known as “Dear God.”)

Whether Hayes’ subsequent launch is hilarious or heartfelt, the 27-year-old is clearly cool with poking enjoyable at himself. And above all, he is aware of how you can flip any scenario into a very good time.
