The 2021 MTV VMAs are back.

After a year of canceled and virtual shows, the VMAs are returning to NYC’s Barclays Center, featuring this year’s biggest stars taking the stage to present and perform. Hosted by “Kiss Me More” star Doja Cat, this year’s VMAs promises to be a star-studded lineup of both performers and presenters with headlining acts.

When Are the 2021 MTV VMAs?

The VMAs will be airing live from the Barclays Center on Sunday, September 12 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on MTV.

The show will also be simulcast on CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Paramount Network, Pop, TV Land, VH1 and the CW.

How to Watch the 2021 MTV VMAs Online

For those without cable access, the VMAs will be available to stream live online on Paramount+.

If you don’t have a Paramount+ account, the streaming service offers a seven-day free trial for new customers, which allows you to watch the VMAs for free online the same day. After your first week, Paramount+ costs $4.99 a month for its Essential plan.

The monthly Essential plan does include ads, but you can pay $9.99 for Paramount+’s Premium package, which also includes a seven-day free trial and is mostly ad-free.

Both plans include access to stream the MTV VMAs for free online as many times as you want, plus access to CBS shows, live news and NFL games.

Who Is Performing and Presenting at the 2021 MTV VMAs?

Alicia Keys with Swae Lee, Camila Cabello, Chlöe, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Justin Bieber, Kacey Musgraves, Lil Nas X, Machine Gun Kelly, Normani, Olivia Rodrigo, Shawn Mendes and Twenty One Pilots are all set to perform at the VMAs this weekend.

The high-profile presenters for the VMAs include AJ McLean, Ashanti, Avril Lavigne, Billie Eilish, Billy Porter, Conor McGregor, 50 Cent, Cyndi Lauper, Fat Joe, Hailey Bieber, Halle Bailey, Ja Rule, Lance Bass, Megan Fox, Nick Lachey, Rita Ora, Simone Biles and Travis Barker.
