Spotify is debuting an experience that goes well beyond its traditional “Wrapped” recap. To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the streaming giant has launched a comprehensive retrospective that aggregates your entire listening history on the platform, rather than just the previous twelve months.
Starting Tuesday, May 12, all users—whether on free or premium tiers—can access “Spotify 20: Your Party of the Year(s).” Upon launching the feature, you will be greeted with a detailed look back at your time on the app, including the exact date you signed up and the cumulative number of songs you have streamed since joining.
The interactive experience highlights personal milestones, such as your very first stream on the service and your all-time most-played artist. Furthermore, it automatically generates a custom “All-Time Top Songs” playlist, featuring the 120 tracks you have played most frequently throughout your entire tenure on the platform.
During a press preview on Monday, Spotify’s global brand and program lead, Angela Leffell, emphasized that this project is a tribute to the community. “We wanted this to feel deeply connected to our users,” she noted, adding that the feature serves as a celebratory, unexpected gift for the platform’s listeners.
Product manager Axel Ulfson explained the distinction between this new initiative and the annual Wrapped recap: while Wrapped captures a singular moment in musical culture, “Party of the Year(s)” maps out an individual’s entire musical journey from their first day on the service.
How to access your personalized recap:
You can launch the experience by searching for “Spotify 20” or “Party of the Year(s)” directly within the Spotify app (ensure you have updated to version 9.1.46 or later). Alternatively, you can navigate to spotify.com/20 on your mobile device to be redirected automatically.
Once you have finished exploring your custom stats, you will be provided with shareable digital cards, perfect for posting your listening history across social media platforms.
