Hollow Knight: Silksong Readied for Third Patch — Expanded Gamepad Support and Fixes
Team Cherry has released a beta update for Hollow Knight: Silksong as work on the third patch continues. The interim update is available on the beta branch and brings a range of fixes and improvements for players to test before the official release.
This patch expands controller support, including full compatibility with the DualSense Edge, and resolves various gameplay bugs, movement inconsistencies, and issues that occurred in late-game sections. Team Cherry confirmed that further adjustments will be applied by the time the third patch ships.
The beta build introduces DualSense Edge support and enhances compatibility for other gamepads, including on Mac. The game now automatically pauses when a controller disconnects. A bug that caused some players to become cursed and stuck during late-game content has been fixed. Corrections were made to Curveclaw’s response to Hunter strikes, to Cogflies spawning in incorrect locations, and to rare cases involving mid-air dashes and unintended double jumps. The update also addresses several instances of leaving the map bounds, Pharlid Divers’ sliding behavior, and equipment resets that occurred after upgrading the Eva Hunter Crest.
