Trick Daddy reportedly had some choice words to say about Beyoncé, and the BeyHive buzzing is certainly buzzing about it.
106.1 KMEL reported on Monday (June 21) that in the now viral recording reportedly of a Clubhouse chat, a man who sounds like the Southern rapper can be heard stating his “unpopular opinion” against the 28-time Grammy-winning superstar’s overall talent.
“Beyoncé f— with her because she see money. Beyoncé ain’t trying to give back to music or nothin’. Beyoncé don’t write music and barely can sing her motherf—in’ self. Beyoncé can’t sang!” he’s heard arguing as he continues to validate his claims by saying his godmother is the one who gave the singer-songwriter vocal lessons throughout her decades-spanning career.
He later took shots at her husband, East Coast hip-hop heavyweight and 23-time Grammy-winning artist Jay-Z, whom he doesn’t believe should be crowned as the greatest rapper alive. “I’mma say my unpopular opinion right now: Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to New York. That’s why they together. Jay-Z ain’t never won the greatest rapper alive. Whoever put him on a level like that?” he debated before stating New York needed a new hero after Biggie died in 1997, so the people elected Hov.
Billboard has reached out to Trick Daddy, Beyonce and Jay-Z for comment.
Trick’s frequent collaborator Trina made her stance clear when she posted an old tour video of Bey and Jay on Tuesday (June 22), writing, “ALL day, Everyday… The Queen.”
