The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is about to get put on Red.
On Thursday (Nov. 4), Jimmy Fallon revealed that Taylor Swift will guest on The Tonight Show on Thursday, Nov. 11, the night before Red (Taylor’s Version) comes out.
In a quick video clip posted to his Twitter, Fallon pins a card reading “Taylor Swift” to his cork board of upcoming guests as Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” plays. That No. 2 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 hails from 2012’s Red, which Swift is re-recording in its entirety as part of her ongoing series of re-recordings of her albums released on Big Machine. Red (Taylor’s Version) will not only include the original Red (and presumably most, if not all, of the same guests) but a plethora of bonus tracks, upping the album’s tracklist to a whopping 30 songs.
The night before Red (Taylor’s Version)’s release on Nov. 12 will be a busy one for Swift. Not only will she appear on Fallon – where she made one of the most memorable late night appearances in her career with a stirring performance of “New Year’s Day” back in 2017 – but the singer-songwriter will appear that same evening (Nov. 11) on Late Night With Seth Meyers. The day after Red (Taylor’s Version) comes out, Swift will be the musical guest on another NBC show, Saturday Night Live, where she will perform during the Jonathan Majors-hosted episode.
Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) returned to the top of the Billboard 200 last month thanks to its release on vinyl and the availability of signed CDs through her webstore.
