Farruko continues making the rounds with his EDM track “Pepas,” topping the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart for the first time in his career on the Aug. 28-dated survey.
Introduced to the world in June, “Pepas” — helmed by producers IAmChino, Sharo Towers, Keriel “K4G” Quiroz, and Axel Rafael Quezada Fulgencio “Ghetto” — is an electronic jam with various live instrumentation including captivating trumpets and powerful drum beats.
“Music is universal, and ‘Pepas’ felt right when we decided to record it,” Farruko previously told Billboard. “It has foundations of reggaetón beats and I liked the vibe; it was something new for my usual scope of work or sound.”
The infectious track, named after a “pepa” — meaning pill in English — narrates the story of someone who only wants to party all night long and live the moment.
