Headie One Brings Out All-Star Guests for 2021 Brit Awards Performance

Following a breakthrough year that included multiple Brit Award nominations, Headie One took the stage at the 2021 ceremony on Tuesday (May 11) to perform his British single of the year nominee, “Ain’t It Different,” as well as one more song with some surprise guests.

During the performance, the British rapper surrounded himself with headlines decrying the influence of drill music, then delved into “Ain’t It Different,” with AJ Tracey joining as a special guest on the song’s back half. Headie One’s stage then fell away and the Brits turned into a dance party, as Young T & Bugsey surprised the audience and combined with Headie One on the rhythmic, irresistible “Princess Cuts.”

After scoring a No. 1 album in his native U.K. with his debut LP Edna, Headie One notched three Brit nominations, including British male solo artist of the year. “Don’t Rush,” his smash with Young T & Bugsey, was also up for British single of the year, which ultimately went to Harry Styles’ “Watermelon Sugar.”
