Halsey & Her Newborn Baby Celebrate World Breastfeeding Week: ‘We Arrived Just in Time’

Halsey is happy her baby arrived just in time to celebrate World Breastfeeding Week.

The pop star gave birth to Ender Ridley Aydin, her first child with boyfriend Alev Aydin, on July 14. World Breastfeeding Week 2021 started Sunday and runs through Saturday. The global campaign, which raises awareness and spreads information about breastfeeding, began in 1992 as a way to commemorate the 1990 Innocenti Declaration, an international agenda that protects, promotes and supports breastfeeding, according to the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action.

“#worldbreastfeedingweek,” Halsey captioned a picture of herself breastfeeding her newborn in the middle of an empty grass field with a white heart emoji. “We arrived just in time!”

The “Without Me” singer is due for another celebration later this month when she delivers her fourth studio album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, on Aug. 27, which was produced by Oscar and Grammy winners Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails. The album artwork embodies “the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth. It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months,” Halsey shared in the caption of her July 7-dated Instagram post. The album also arrives with a film of the same name, which will hit select IMAX theaters in the U.S. on Aug. 25 and internationally on Aug. 26 for one night only.
