Halsey Gives Health Update Before Tour: “Just Had a Few More Chemo Sessions”

Halsey updated followers about their health in a frank TikTok posted Thursday, Sept. 25, 2025, revealing they recently underwent additional chemotherapy and now have a newly placed port in their chest.

The short video finds the singer at home, offering a quick rundown of recent developments. Halsey explains, “Just did another few sessions of chemo,” and pans the camera to show a small medical device secured near their collarbone. They add that a fresh port was installed to assist with ongoing intravenous treatment.

Halsey first disclosed a diagnosis of a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder — alongside lupus — in June 2024, and has previously described receiving IV chemotherapy for the condition. These health struggles also informed material on their album The Great Impersonator.

Lymphoproliferative disorders affect white blood cells and can range from immune-system complications to malignancies such as leukemia and lymphoma. Chemotherapy is one of the standard treatment approaches for these conditions. Cleveland Clinic provides an overview of these disorders and typical therapies.

In TikTok comments, Halsey described the toll chemotherapy takes on their body, noting that recovery can make even standing difficult for about a week after treatment. “You see me in the in-between moments when I have energy,” they wrote, explaining that recovery time passes quickly even though it can still feel long.

The singer also touched on personal and professional plans: their 31st birthday is Sept. 29, 2025, and despite a packed schedule, Halsey said they’re preparing to return to the road this fall. Following the conclusion of the For My Last Trick Tour in July, they announced a Back to Badlands tour celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their debut album Badlands, which begins Oct. 14.
