Announced with great fanfare in 2013 with the support of Steven Spielberg at Microsoft’s E3 conference, the Halo TV series is one of these so-called “cursed” projects. After many postponements, changes in broadcasting platform and directors who set sail, we learn from our colleagues at The Hollywood Reporter that the series is now the orphan of its showrunner. This is the second time that this has happened, since in 2019, Kyle Killen had already mentioned his desire to leave the project when filming had started in Budapest. Since then, it was a certain Steven Kane who had replaced her and who has just announced his departure as soon as the filming in Hungary is over. You might as well say that nothing bodes well with so many people who are struggling to complete the project, knowing that we have also learned that the series had been shortened by one episode (9 in total) and that Paramount + will now be in charge of broadcasting the program, a platform that does not exist elsewhere than in the United States. This is enough to restrict its reading potential on the part of viewers.
