It’s reached the serious end of NBC’s The Voice. Just ask the five contestants who were facing the chop on Tuesday night (Nov. 9).
America voted, and, after a nervous wait, the Instant Save was handed to Team Kelly’s Hailey Mia, the youngest singer in the competition.
Earlier, the New Jersey teen performed Christina Perri’s “Jar of Hearts” for her lifesaver. Hitting power notes and pulling on the heart strings, Mia clearly touched viewers back home.
Following the Top 20 performances on Monday night, the latest live show featured the announcement of the Top 13 singers, who will move on to next week’s lives.
The survivors includes the top two vote-getters from each squad, plus one coach’s selection. Add to that the Instant Save, a wildcard vote and the winner of last week’s Comeback Singer vote, and you arrive at a lucky 13.
Clarkson, who has coached three winners so far, has the advantage in the next phase.
