Tech enthusiasts are discovering new methods to circumvent Denuvo’s robust security measures.
The remake of Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties was recently launched, debuting to “Mixed” reviews on Steam. Not all players were satisfied with the overall quality of the production.
Although SEGA implemented Denuvo DRM to protect the PC release, a hacker named Andreh announced a successful bypass of the title just 11 days after its arrival.
Similar to other recent Denuvo cracks, the bypass for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties utilizes a “hypervisor” technique. This allows for the circumvention of DRM, but it requires users to deactivate certain system security features, which may pose potential risks to the PC’s integrity.
The crack is currently in its beta stage, with Andreh conducting performance tests across both Intel and AMD-based systems.
