H.E.R. & Chris Brown Link Up for Steamy ‘Come Through’ Video

H.E.R. and Chris Brown tell their low-key baes to “Come Through” for the night in a steamy music video released Thursday (May 13).

The video starts with H.E.R. and her friends lounging outside, as they tease her about a song she’s been working on. But when her man hits her up, her girls start a commotion before one of them plays the song. The sultry vibes of “Come Through” instantly transport H.E.R. to a blue-tinted room where she awaits her boo before things heat up quickly, with the lights turning into a warm orange.

H.E.R. and Brown released their “Come Through” duet on April 23, two days before H.E.R. took home her first Oscar for best original song with “Fight for You” from the Fred Hampton biopic Judas and the Black Messiah. The 23-year-old R&B singer also won two Grammys earlier this year, including song of the year for her single “I Can’t Breathe,” which she released in the midst of the Black Lives Matter movement last summer.

“Come Through” debuted in the top 10 of Billboard‘s Hot R&B Songs chart last week (dated May 7).
