Gwen Stefani Will Be ‘Pretty in Pink’ at Wedding to Blake Shelton With This First Dance Song

Everything will be coming up Andie and Blane at Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani‘s wedding if the couple stick with their choice for a retro ’80s song as their first dance. Shelton Zoom’d in to The Tonight Show on Wednesday night (May 19) to hype Monday’s (May 24) two-hour season finale of The Voice, and, of course, chat about the couple’s long-in-the-works nuptials.

When host Jimmy Fallon asked what their first song would be, Shelton joked, “I think it’s called ‘The Wedding March,'” before pulling out his phone and reading off the title of their actual first dance song: “If You Leave” by OMD from the Pretty in Pink soundtrack. “We talked about this. We both love the song. We’re both fans of the ’80s, why not? Don’t you think that would be a great one, though? We’ve literally talked about that.”

The host and Shelton then dueted a bit on the 1981 song’s chorus a bit and Fallon joked that when he was a kid he would plan fake weddings and his go-to first dance song was “True Love Ways” by Buddy Holly. Shelton didn’t know what one and looked a bit disturbed and leaned away when Jimmy got up and crooned it into the screen at him.

Shelton also talked about star-packed The Voice finale, his new album, Body Language, his upcoming summer tour and stuck around to play a game of Jinx Challenge with his Voice cast mate Kelly Clarkson in which they had to stare into each other’s eyes and try to shout out the same word at the same time. Spoiler alert: it was a disaster.
