Like the MCU films (directed by James Gunn), the Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy video game will give pride of place to music. The developers of Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix wanted to detail us the entire creation process, and in particular how Richard Jacques went about making the 80s atmosphere one of the dominant aspects in the game. The composer, who is a veteran of video game music, went to record all of the game’s soundtrack at Abbey Road studios in London. He explains that he thought of the music as a 22 hour movie, to the point that it is even possible to sit next to the player and just watch them play, enjoying the music. Beyond the music recorded especially for the title, know that under-license songs, with artists such as New Kids on the Block, Iron Maiden, Kiss or even Hot Chocolate. Everyone needs to come together and enjoy those moments when Star Lord pulls out his walkman to eliminate enemies more effectively.
The release of Guardians of the Galaxy is expected on October 26 on all platforms at the moment.
