GTA VI will feature an option for “heavy” games, according to its Xbox Store page
The Xbox Store page for GTA VI suggests players may install the story mode and online components separately. This feature would help users manage their console storage more effectively.
Social media user SynthPotato spotted four add-ons listed on the store page. One entry, labeled Story Mode, does not require a standalone installation. A second component, titled Extra, remains undefined—it could represent the online mode or additional assets.
Only two add-ons currently require separate downloads. These include the Vintage Vice City Pack for pre-orders and the upgrade to the Ultimate Edition for standard edition owners.
GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The expanded edition includes exclusive cars, weapons, clothing, and other items for Jason and Lucia.
