Rockstar Games had prepared the small dishes in the big ones for the reveal of GTA The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, which was illustrated in several stages during the day. The American publisher began by unveiling the release dates of its remastered compilation, specifying that the digital versions will arrive on November 11, and the game in boxes for December 6. Then, Rockstar began to release the first screenshots of the game, just to show the visual evolutions planned for the restoration of the three major episodes of the PS2 era. We remind you that it is the Unreal Engine that was used to bring GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas back to life, with, as we can see, improvements in the lighting, environments richer in detail, HD textures and especially 3D models that have been reworked. Rockstar Games has warned that the idea is not to distort the old school atmosphere of these games that have marked generations of players, even if readjustments in the gameplay are to be expected.
Moreover, it is specified that the versions PS5 and Xbox Series will benefit from a display in 4K 60 images per second, while on PC, one will be able to enjoy the famous DLSS of NVIDIA. On the other hand, those who will play on Switch, we can have features related to gyroscopy and the touch screen to navigate in the menus for example. Finally, Rockstar Games has decided to integrate GTA San Andreas at launch on Xbox Game Pass on November 11, 2021, while PlayStation Now subscribers will be entitled to GTA III from December 7. We will finish by specifying that these announcements coincide with the 20 years of GTA III.
