Gremlins 3 Delayed to 2028

Warner Bros. has pushed back the premiere of the highly anticipated Gremlins 3 by nearly a year. The film is now slated for a global theatrical release on October 6, 2028, moving away from its original November 19, 2027 date. The studio has yet to provide an official explanation for this scheduling shift.

Despite the delay, Warner Bros. has unveiled a full teaser for the project across its social media channels. This upcoming installment serves as a direct follow-up to the iconic franchise launched in 1984 by director Joe Dante. Chris Columbus, who penned the original film and helmed the first two Harry Potter features, is spearheading the production as director.

Columbus also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, the directors of Freaks. Steven Spielberg, who collaborated with Columbus on the initial two entries, is returning to produce the project.

Ultimately, fans will have to wait another year for the return of the Gremlins to the big screen, continuing a hiatus that has lasted over three decades.
