Gone Gone Beyond Drops Video For New Single ‘Canyons’

Four-part musical hybrid group Gone Gone Beyond has released their new single “Canyons.”

The track was recorded at the iconic Hotel El Gonzo in Southern Baja, Mexico where the band was joined by Sean Rodman of Moontricks.

“Canyons” is an acoustic homage to past generations of travelers who headed West in search of a mystical wonders and the promise of renewal. The tract is from their forthcoming sophomore album 2030 which drops June 25 and delivers an urgent message of hope and change for the planet.

“It’s a voodoo lullaby with all the whimsy of Alan Watts and all the heart of Neil Young,” describes group member Danny Musengo of the nostalgic song. He adds, “the beautiful arrangements in ‘Canyons’ often boast unique harmonic inversions and unlikely cadences, while still leaving you with the familiar feeling you’ve been wrapped up in this song, like a warm blanket, for your entire life.”

Gone Gone Beyond is a mix of folk-Americana and roots music, influenced by a myriad of influences like electronica, jazz, soul, and world music. The title 2030 refers to a year, in the not-so-distant future, which many believe is a tipping point for humanity.
