Tonight on the 2019 Golden Globes, Green Book gained the award for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. The movie picked up the win over fellow nominees Vice, The Favourite, Crazy Rich Asians, and Mary Poppins Returns. Green Book tells the story of Don Shirley (performed by Mahershala Ali), a pianist who recruits Tony Lip (performed by Viggo Mortenson) as his driver and safety throughout a 1962 tour within the American South. Ali gained Best Supporting Actor for his efficiency within the movie.
