The soundtrack to Gaspar Noé’s controversial new film Climax has been introduced. The CD version arrives on September 28, with the 2xLP vinyl following on October 5 (each by way of Milan Records). The movie and soundtrack feature a new song from Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter referred to as “Sangria,” in addition to his beforehand launched monitor “What to Do” and Daft Punk’s “Rollin’ and Scratchin’.” Also included are Aphex Twin’s “Windowlicker,” Giorgio Moroder’s “Utopia – Me Giorgio,” Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go,” and extra. Climax, which screened at Cannes Film Festival, follows a dance get together that devolves into chaos. It hits French theaters on September 19. The film will likely be distributed by A24 within the United States. Bangalter beforehand labored with Noé on his 2002 movie Irreversible and 2009’s Enter the Void.
