Gamers paid for the right to create a character in The Elder Scrolls 6 — they’ll immortalize a female community member

Bethesda has accommodated the community, and the group’s plan will now be put into action.

Bethesda and its partners previously ran an auction in which the winner earned the right to create a custom NPC for The Elder Scrolls VI. At that event a bidder pledged more than $85,000.

The team behind the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP) also sought the winning spot, but their offer was ultimately outbid. Together with other fans they aimed to honor the memory of Loranna Payrel — a prominent member of the RPG community and the creator of the forum role-playing game “Loranna’s RP.”

Bethesda agreed to grant a second slot on the condition that UESP raise the necessary funds and donate them to the Make‑A‑Wish Foundation.

The fundraising target was met, so The Elder Scrolls VI will now include two custom characters. UESP representatives have already met with Bethesda, but are not yet sharing specifics about the project.
