Four Game Servers to Shut Down in July and August, One Becoming Completely Inaccessible
Four games will lose server support between July and August, rendering one of them completely unplayable.
Madden NFL 23 servers will shut down on July 13, 2026. NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds will follow on August 20. Digital storefronts have already pulled these titles, and the server closure will disable all multiplayer modes.
Warface: Clutch faces the most severe outcome. The developer will close its servers on August 25. Because the shooter relies entirely on online connectivity, the game will no longer function after this date.
Other titles face specific changes. DiRT Rally 2.0 will disable the Racenet Clubs feature on July 8, though other online modes will remain active. New World: Aeternum will stop all in-game purchases on July 20 as the team prepares for a total server shutdown in January 2027.
