Fortnite: Battle Royale‘s ominous countdown has ended, and a rocket barrage fractured its (extremely pretty) skydome. Then all the players, the entire map, and even the long-suffering battle bus were hoovered up into oblivion. Now the entire game’s been changed by a mysterious (and sometimes horrifically flickering) black gap. A standard Sunday night time.
The black gap is the one factor gamers can see proper now, together with an enormous crimson exit button. Probably don’t hit that although; it quits the game and the servers are hammered by of us who need to be a part of the occasion, so that you won’t get again in.
It’s fascinating to me that, at present, Fortnite: Battle Royale has ceased to exist. The similar factor occurred once they closed it down for the Marshmello concert, however a minimum of that gave gamers one thing to do past stare into the void.
Then once more, Epic did say that this was the tip, so I’m unsure what anybody was anticipating.
Admittedly probably a brand new map, given the leaks for one thing referred to as “Fortnite: Chapter 2” earlier within the week. Which might nonetheless emerge from this black gap! But thus far, nothing.
They’re teasing a clear slate, stated Nat in that headline. Not positive she meant this clear.
While you’re watching the black gap do nothing, spare a thought for the staff who labored potentially massive overtime to place this collectively, yeah?
