Farming Simulator has long been the market leader among simulation games, and Farming Simulator 25 only cements that status. Still, the series has historically had gaps that keep it from feeling truly exemplary.
One of the most conspicuous omissions was fishing — a feature fans especially missed. After years of requests, the community will finally receive what it has long awaited. Giants Software is no longer relying on modders for this and is building a full-fledged fishing mode in-house.
As expected, it will arrive as paid DLC. On November 4, 2025, a new map purpose-built for fishing and aquaculture will be released across all platforms. The Highlands Fishing location is inspired by Scotland. Developers promise that players will be able to establish their own fish farms and enjoy fishing without restrictions.
