Streaming giant Prime Video has released the debut still from its highly anticipated television adaptation of the God of War franchise. Principal photography for the show is officially underway.
The series features Ryan Hurst and Callum Vinson in the leading roles, with the narrative deeply rooted in the realm of Norse mythology. Driven by the final request of his late wife, Kratos embarks on an epic odyssey alongside his son, Atreus, journeying toward the highest peak to scatter her ashes. Their path is fraught with divine trials and legendary adversaries.
The ensemble cast is further bolstered by talents such as Teresa Palmer, Mandy Patinkin, and Ed Skrein. Ronald D. Moore, widely known for his work on Outlander, serves as the project’s showrunner. While anticipation continues to build, a specific premiere date has not yet been confirmed.
