First, casting for the new Bond is expected to begin once Villeneuve finishes shooting the third Dune. The franchise’s new producers are favoring younger actors of British origin. They appear to be looking for a relatively unknown performer who will agree to a long-term contract.
Other rumors concern the film’s script. It’s reported that Steven Knight will inject fresh life into the Bond universe by centering the story on the character’s formative years—his entry into MI6 or his time in the Royal Navy.
