Production has officially commenced in Vorkuta for the latest installment of “The Route,” penned by prominent screenwriter Oleg Malovichko and helmed by director Konstantin Statsky. The narrative unfolds in the frigid Arctic settlement of Yarkiy, following the gruesome murder of a local woman. While high-ranking police officials attempt to bury the complex investigation, a resolute woman intervenes, determined to track down the culprit on her own terms.

The ensemble cast for the new season features Sergey Kolesnikov, Valeria Valyuzhenich, and Gennady Blinov. Additionally, the production promises a special cameo appearance by acclaimed filmmaker Yuri Bykov!
“The Route 2” is expected to further delve into the “anthology of evil,” a dark thematic thread previously explored by Malovichko in the series “Khrustalny” and the first season of “The Route.”
