Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster Soars in Steam Sales Rankings
Square Enix’s new remaster arrived on all platforms simultaneously, a clear bid for a major splash. Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles demonstrated strong momentum even before its official launch.
On Steam the title placed fourth among the platform’s highest-grossing releases (Steam Deck excluded).

Even though the visuals haven’t changed dramatically since the original PlayStation release, the game remains one of the developer’s most iconic works. Frequently cited as the finest tactical RPG ever made, it gives longtime fans a chance to revisit a beloved world and offers newcomers access to one of the genre’s most powerful narratives.
High review scores have only intensified interest. On OpenCritic the remaster holds an average rating of 8.9/10. Several outlets awarded it top marks — including Eurogamer, Hardcore Gamer, CGMagazine and ImpulseGamer — making it one of the season’s most notable premieres.
