Filming Wraps on “Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel”

Production company Atmosfera Kino has officially announced the conclusion of filming for the upcoming feature “Dead Mountaineer’s Hotel.” The cinematic release is currently scheduled for January 28, 2027.

The project serves as a screen adaptation of the acclaimed novel by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky. The narrative follows Police Inspector Peter Glebsky, who arrives at a secluded mountain retreat following an urgent and mysterious summons. A letter he received warned of a looming homicide at the hotel. Shortly after his arrival, a devastating avalanche cuts off the only passage out of the gorge, trapping everyone inside. The atmosphere shifts from isolation to dread when Glebsky discovers the lifeless body of one of the guests during the night.

The film features an ensemble cast of prominent actors, including Evgeniy Tsyganov, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Alena Mikhailova, Sergey Makovetsky, Alexander Baluev, Ksenia Treister, and Alexander Domogarov. Directorial duties were handled by Alexander Domogarov Jr., best known for his work on “A Dog Named Palma.”
