Nashville Welcomes Diane Warren: In Conversation with Megan Moroney

Country music sensation Megan Moroney, recently crowned CMA New Artist of the Year, will join songwriting luminary Diane Warren on stage for the inaugural FEMco interview series in Nashville. The program premieres September 2 at Anzie Blue under the banner “Nashville Welcomes Diane Warren: In Conversation with Megan Moroney.”

Leslie Fram, FEMco’s founder and former CMT senior vice president, will guide the conversation, uniting Warren and Moroney in their first-ever live dialogue.

The one-hour event begins at 6 p.m. on September 2, with ticket proceeds benefiting local animal rescue initiatives through Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation. Middle Tennessee State University’s College of Media & Entertainment, led by Dean Beverly Keel, sponsors the evening.

“Having Diane Warren, one of the world’s most prolific songwriters, share her insights with Nashville’s vibrant community is truly inspiring,” said Fram. “Her unparalleled catalog of timeless hits enhances our city’s reputation as a songwriting capital. We’re delighted to showcase rising star Megan Moroney, whose heartfelt storytelling captures the essence of country music.”

Moroney achieved quadruple-platinum success with her breakout single “Tennessee Orange,” and her album Am I Okay? debuted in the top 10 of the all-genre Billboard 200. She earned CMA’s New Artist of the Year award and Billboard’s Women in Music Rulebreaker honor. Her latest single, “6 Months Later,” has climbed into the top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Warren, inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001, has penned enduring classics such as “Un-Break My Heart,” “Because You Loved Me,” and “If I Could Turn Back Time.” With 16 Academy Award nominations, a Grammy Award win alongside 15 additional nominations, and more than 150 film placements, her songs have been recorded by icons like Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, and Elton John. She remains the sole owner of her publishing company, Realsongs.

Founded earlier this year by Fram, FEMco (Fram Entertainment & Music) champions women’s voices in the industry, offering career development, talent services, and networking opportunities in Nashville. The collective’s FEMcountry showcase series has spotlighted artists including Ashland Craft, Callista Clark, Denitia, Moriah, Abbey Cone, Caylee Hammack, Angie K, and Brittney Spencer.

Anzie Blue, a 250-capacity live music venue nestled in Nashville’s Hillsboro Village, is co-owned by Marcie Allen and Derek Van Mol.
