ARK Fear Evolved 5: 2021 Dates, Rates, Creatures and Rewards

ARK: Survival Evolved’s Fear Evolved 5 ran from October 26 to November 9, 2021. Studio Wildcard’s Halloween event brought back the DodoRex and DodoWyvern, added five chibi pets, two full-body skins and four shirt designs, and increased progression rates on official server clusters.

Fear Evolved 5 server rates

Official servers used 3x XP, harvesting, taming and breeding with a 1.5x Hexagon bonus. Small Tribes and Conquest received 4.5x XP, harvesting and taming plus 4x breeding, while ARKPocalypse used 5x for those core rates. Unofficial servers could activate the event with the -ActiveEvent=FearEvolved launch parameter.

Creatures and collectible rewards

The seasonal encounters included DodoRex, DodoWyvern, Zomdodo, three claimable Zombie Wyvern variants, skeletal dinosaurs and ghost creatures. The five new chibis were Witching Owl, Ghost Direwolf, Ghost Basilisk, Ghost Rex and Ghost Mantis.

Players could collect Pumpkins, Stolen Headstones, Scarecrows, Dinosaur Bones and Dino Candy Corn. Cooking Pot recipes produced event emotes and cosmetics, including the new Strawman and Skeleton costumes and four themed shirts.

What Community Crunch 289 covered

Studio Wildcard announced the full schedule and reward list in Community Crunch 289 on October 22, 2021. The issue also featured two creator videos, fan art and community screenshots, while confirming that no separate EVO event would run that week.
