FBC: Firebreak to Get Major Free “Breakpoint” Update Featuring Mold and New Enemies by End of September
Remedy continues its efforts to breathe new life into its cooperative shooter.
Remedy Entertainment announced it will release the first major update for FBC: Firebreak, titled Breakpoint, on September 29. The patch includes a variety of system changes, balance adjustments, and general improvements.
The update adds a new mission in the Research sector where players must confront a spreading mold infestation, face new enemy types, and manage a dangerous status effect that introduces unique tactical challenges.
A new Crisis Board replaces the previous mission board, delivering more dynamic and less predictable assignments that amplify the feeling of “rapid response.” The board will present between four and six crises at once, ranging from full runs to short tasks and missions with randomized rewards, objectives, and durations. The Crisis Board refreshes every 30 minutes.
Breakpoint also expands the arsenal and the number of available weapon mods, reworks the game economy, and introduces additional enemy variants.
