Over the years the Farming Simulator series has become a cult favorite among simulation enthusiasts. Giants Software’s titles are widely seen as the genre’s gold standard — thanks to authentic vehicle handling, a carefully balanced economy, and a rewarding sense of progression as you develop your own farm. The franchise now steps into a new phase with Farming Simulator: Signature Edition.
Developers have confirmed the game will launch on December 9, 2025 for the Nintendo Switch 2. It ranks among the first major simulator releases for the new console. Announced back in May, the project received not only a concrete release date but also its first trailer, which features footage from the handheld build. From the video, the portable edition looks set to deliver a full-fledged experience on par with the PC and home-console versions.
Signature Edition will offer more than 400 machines from 150 manufacturers, including John Deere, Fendt, CLAAS, Kubota and New Holland. The headline addition is a collaboration with Daimler Truck AG, bringing Mercedes‑Benz Trucks into the game — notably the Unimog and MB-trac. For fans of farming simulations, this promises to be one of the standout releases at the end of the year.
