Fans Pick Twenty One Pilots’ “Breach” as This Week’s Favorite New Track

Twenty One Pilots’ latest LP, Breach, was the clear winner in this week’s fan poll.

A Billboard reader poll published on Friday, Sept. 12 found that fans overwhelmingly picked the alt-rock duo’s new album as the top new release of the week.

Voters opted for Breach even as new music arrived from the likes of Drake (featuring Yeat & Julia Wolf), Ed Sheeran, JADE and Kali Uchis (featuring Ravyn Lenae). Breach commanded 75% of the ballots cast.

The studio record — by Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun — was driven by singles “The Contract” and “Drum Show.” Released on Sept. 12 through Fueled by Ramen, the album arrived alongside a music video for the track “City Walls.” Breach continues themes that trace back to 2015’s Blurryface and unfold through Trench (2018), Scaled and Icy (2021) and 2024’s Clancy.

Twenty One Pilots begin their Clancy Tour: Breach 2025 this fall, opening in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sept. 18 and concluding in Los Angeles on Oct. 26. A full list of dates is available on the band’s official tour page.

Other releases in the poll included JADE’s That’s Showbiz Baby! (20% of the vote) and Ed Sheeran’s Play (2%).
