Doja Cat’s Vie Is Voted This Week’s Favorite New Album

Vie, the latest LP from Doja Cat, has been chosen by readers as the standout new release in this week’s fan poll.

Fans cast their votes in a poll published Friday, Sept. 26 on Billboard, and Doja’s record emerged on top.

The album captured nearly half of the votes — finishing with 49.91% — outpacing other recent releases that arrived the same week.

Marking a stylistic nod back to her pop sensibilities, Vie was introduced by the single “Jealous Type.” It’s Doja’s first full-length collaboration with producer Jack Antonoff and includes a guest turn from SZA among its 15 tracks.

Shortly before the album’s release she unveiled the new artwork — an image of herself suspended amid a yellow parachute tangled in a tree — and explained that the parachute symbolizes curiosity, joy and the courage to take risks, while the tree evokes roots, wisdom and the grounding that follows hardship.

Doja Cat is slated to appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 4, 2025, and will embark on a tour beginning in November, with shows booked in New Zealand, Australia and throughout Asia.

Trailing Vie in this week’s poll were Mariah Carey’s Here for It All (reported at 45% of votes), followed by Tate McRae’s “Tit for Tat,” Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving, 5 Seconds of Summer’s “NOT OK,” Young Thug’s UY SCUTI and Rauw Alejandro’s Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0.
