Mariah Carey‘s holiday season return has topped this week’s fan-voted new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll that was published Friday (Nov. 5) on Billboard, choosing “Fall in Love at Christmas,” Carey’s new holiday tune featuring Kirk Franklin and Khalid, as their favorite new music release of the past week.
Carey’s fresh holiday collab was the clear leader on this week’s poll, bringing in 50% of the vote. Post Malone and The Weeknd‘s synth-heavy team-up “One Right Now” followed in second place, with 18.79% of the vote, putting it very narrowly ahead of Silk Sonic’s smooth “Smokin Out the Window,” with 18.48% of the vote.
“Fall in Love at Christmas” was released on Nov. 5, just days after Carey festively smashed a pumpkin to declare Halloween officially over as a playful welcome to the Christmas season, when her classic former Hot 100 No. 1 “All I Want for Christmas Is You” typically takes over.
Now, fans can enjoy Carey’s 2021 addition to their holiday soundtrack with poll-topper “Fall in Love at Christmas,” which is set to be performed next month by Carey, Franklin and Khalid for the Apple+ holiday special Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues.
