Ed Sheeran‘s new single has topped this week’s fan-voted new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll that was published Friday (Sept. 10) on Billboard, choosing “Shivers” as their favorite new music release of the past week.
Sheeran’s “Shivers” brought in 34.64% of the vote. In second place on the poll results was “Lalisa,” the debut solo single from BLACKPINK‘s Lisa, which had 22.88% of the vote. Kacey Musgraves‘ new album star-crossed came in third place, with Chlöe’s “Have Mercy” following in fourth.
“Shivers” is the second single from Sheeran’s upcoming fourth studio album, =, which is scheduled to be released Oct. 29 via Atlantic Records. The song follows the set’s first single, “Bad Habits,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“It was originally meant to be the first single but I just didn’t see a world where ‘Bad Habits’ existed if it didn’t come out in the summer,” Sheeran wrote of “Shivers” when he announced the new single on Instagram. “Shivers always felt more autumnal. I hope you like it, I bloody love it.”
