The ARMY has spoken! BTS‘ “Butter (Hotter Remix)” has topped this week’s new music poll.
Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (May 28) on Billboard, choosing the remix of the K-pop boy band’s latest English-language single as their favorite new music release of the past week.
“Butter (Hotter Remix)” brought in 64% of the vote, beating out new posthumously released projects by late rappers DMX (Exodus) and Juice WRLD (Goodbye & Good Riddance “Anniversary Edition”), as well as tracks by Eminem featuring Jack Harlow and Cordae (“Killer remix”), J Balvin featuring Maria Becerra (“¿Qué Más Pues?”), and others.
This marks BTS’ second consecutive week topping Billboard‘s new music poll. Last week, the septet was crowned the winner with the original release of “Butter,” bringing in more than 72% of the vote.
BTS released “Butter” on May 21 and shortly after slid onto the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, where the boy band took home four awards, and The Late Show With Stephen Colbert for some smooth performances.
The song has also been heating up streaming services, after the song whipped up the largest single-day streams for a song in Spotify’s history with more than 20.9 million global streams and broke churned out two YouTube records.
Placing second on the past week’s tally with nearly 18% of the vote was the “Anniversary Edition” of Juice WRLD’s debut album, Goodbye & Good Riddance. The upgrade, arriving three years after the original, includes new song “734” and the Lil Uzi Vert-assisted remix of the late artist’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 2 hit “Lucid Dreams.”
