Fans Announce Gwent Remake for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update, Not Developed by CD Projekt RED

Fans of Gwent will be able to enjoy an expanded version of the card game.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is approaching. Some enthusiasts are already starting to announce modifications that can improve various aspects of the updated version of CD Projekt RED’s hit.

A modder known as Dima Halva published a trailer for a project called “The Witcher 3: Gwent Remake”. He stated that this modification is designed to port content from the full version of the card game Gwent: The Witcher Card Game into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, adding corresponding rules, cards, and more.

Dima Halva noted that the mod will add several hundred additional cards. Story characters will have their own decks and strategies. The modification will support nine languages.

The release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is scheduled for September 29 on PC and consoles. The creators of “The Witcher 3: Gwent Remake” plan to release their project approximately 2 to 3 months after the remaster comes out. In addition, there are plans to support the Witcher Online multiplayer modification.

CD Projekt RED, together with Fool’s Theory, is currently preparing an expansion for The Witcher 3 titled Songs of the Past. It is planned for release in 2027.
