Many fans are focused on the Path to Menzoberranzan project — a mod that will invite players to explore the Underdark.

Developers had fallen silent recently, raising concerns about the project’s future. However, the modding team has since provided an update: “The team is working on the first playable demo. The release schedule is currently under review.”

They attributed the quiet period to intense development: “The past few months have been phenomenal: what began as a rework of a single area from Baldur’s Gate 2 has expanded into a full-scale campaign. That leap required us to rethink many of our processes, from collaboration to content creation. We spent the entire summer streamlining our production pipeline to build something truly special.”
