“Fallout” Star to Join New Ari Aster Film

British actress Ella Purnell, known for her roles in Fallout and Sweetpea, has officially joined the cast of Scapegoat. This upcoming feature is helmed by Midsommar director Ari Aster and will be produced by A24.

Purnell joins an already impressive ensemble that includes Scarlett Johansson, Jacob Elordi, and Jude Law. Additionally, Caleb Landry Jones (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Samba Schutte (One of the Many) have also signed on to the project.

Specific plot details remain strictly under wraps. While early reports suggested the film would center on a surgeon (Johansson) dealing with the death of a high-profile patient, other insiders have speculated that the story may lean toward a sci-fi romance or a more conventional drama.

Looking ahead, Purnell is set to return for the second season of Sweetpea later this year, with the third season of Fallout anticipated to premiere in 2027.
